Chiesa di Sant’Angelo
Things to do in Pabillonis

The branch church of Sant’Angelo, formerly dedicated to Saint Stephen, dates back to the 16th century. The architectural features of the facadesuch as the Gothic portal with a pointed arch lunette, the flat terminal band, and the ornamental battlementsrecall numerous late Gothic buildings influenced by 15th and 16th-century Spanish models.
Inside, it houses the Museum of Religious Memory and Traditions. The exhibition route is divided into thematic sections, featuring a series of precious furnishings no longer used in liturgical services, a large collection of statues, vestments, and sacred objects from the town’s churches, and works closely tied to religious life and popular devotion, which are particularly significant from both a historical and artistic perspective.
